The Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Smoky Mountains in the Fall
We have been to the Smoky Mountains several times, but going in the fall when the leaves are changing colors is truly a wonderful time to be there (except for the crowds of people). It is easy to see why they are named the Blue Ridge Mountains (first picture below). The haze, or 'smoky' air makes the distance mountains look blueish. I probably get a bit carried away with the small waterfall photos. Each one is unique and oh so lovely.

A few summertime photos
I love the mountain streams and waterfalls, and of course, the misty mountains. I could take pictures of these all day.
