Common Loons

This first group of images of the Common Loons were taken over a couple of days at the end of May on a small lake near Park Rapids, Minnesota. These Loons were not yet nesting. Taken from a canoe with a long telephoto lens to keep a reasonable distance. There were usually two Loons together but I took more photos of just one bird because it was easier to focus.
