We got to enjoy a neighborhood fireworks show last night and of course I had to take a few photos. (Not our yard, not our neighborhood). Most of these are multiple exposures on a single frame in the camera. It was a good show.

A few more fireworks photos - taken in Clear Lake, IA on July 5, 2019. (I'll stop posting fireworks photos now.)
Click images to see larger. Fireworks in Mason City, July 3, 2019. Like snowflakes no two are alike. My strange relationship with fireworks displays - I don't like the noise, I don't like them going off around me, but from a distance I do enjoy photographing them, and I can't decide which ones I like, because they are all different. I got a little carried away with fireworks photos from the first night of the PGI (Pyrotechnics Guild International) convention fireworks show in Mason City at the North Iowa Events Center. Several of the photos are multiple exposures in the camera to stack the explosions on a single image. Click to see lots of photos here -
http://www.brucegmckeephotos.com/fireworks2018.html I couldn't resist a few fireworks photos on such a beautiful night at Clear Lake, Iowa. I love how the fireworks paint their abstract colors across the water. ISO 400, f/16, shutter on the 'B' setting for continuous exposure for an undetermined time. I would open the shutter and watch the fireworks as they blossomed and cover up the lens with my hat when they had reached the peak. Some of these are multiple exposures as I would uncover the lens and add another burst, then close the shutter when I thought I had enough on that frame. Confused? Well, I have to take a lot of pictures to get a few good ones because I never know what they will look like. Happy Independence Day!
